The Film and Video Student Association would like to welcome all students back to campus for the Fall 2009 term. We would also like to apologize for being offline for the first few days of classes. The reasons for our absence we will not recount here, but let us suffice it to say that it involves an epic tale with a battle against an agent of the old Ottoman Empire. Due to this struggle, you may notice the site has been redesigned, and we hope for the better.
For now, the site is strictly informational, so take advantage of our events calendar or learn more about the FVSA and what we do. With Michigan becoming a hot bed of Film production, there's a lot going on around campus for film students and non-film students alike, and we're dedicated to letting you know about it and enriching the film community at the University of Michigan.
For Screen Arts and Cultures production students, make sure you read up on Lightworks. User registration will be open soon, allowing you to register on the FVSA site in order to submit your film to Lightworks, and to use our forums, which will allow you to post requests for cast and crew.
!Mass Meeting Information! The FVSA Mass Meeting will be Wednesday, September 23rd, from 7 to 8 in 3222 Tisch Hall (English Dept.). Come and check it out if you are interested in movie screenings, fun film events or LIGHTWORKS!!
Finally, if you have a film, video, or animation project that you'd like showcased on the FVSA website please email a link to your Youtube or other online version of it to
